Think about it. We are the state with Mardi Gras and New Orleans. Both are celebrated with drinking ... sometimes lots of drinking! So how does Louisiana only come in at 31st in the booziest state competition?

Louisiana came in between Indiana and Minnesota. What? really? How did that happen? The data comes from a Times Picayune story about a real estate web site (Moveto.) I think the same people do their list that make up the lame list in some magazines. According to the story The criteria included bars per capita, number of vineyards and last call times. Well there ya go. We need more wineries! The story does say that Louisiana lost points because of it's small number of breweries (I take it that means the legal kind.)
