Joy Ride in Stolen Car and Shopping Spree With Stolen Cards Ends

Twenty-two year old Briar Guitrau may have thought of himself as a purchasing agent and transportation specialist. The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Department did not see it that way and had no sense of humor about the situation.

First he allegedly went on a five hundred dollar spending spree with stolen credit cards. He went on this spending spree in a stolen jeep. Neither worked out real well for him. He has confessed to stealing the vehicle and activating and using the stolen credit cards. The Pierre Part resident already had a warrant out for his arrest in Baton Rouge. This obviously was not slowing down this criminal mastermind. His bond has been set at $5,000.
