Happy Mardi Gras everyone!  Today, people will start lining up on Ryan Street here in Lake Charles to get a prime spot for the big Krewe of Krewes' parade tonight.

Here is a schedule of what is happening today for your Mardi Gras festivities.

Iowa Chicken Run
Tuesday, March 4, 11 a.m.
The chicken run starts and ends at KC Hall and runs west down 90. Ride a float, catch a chicken and finish with some gumbo and live music for a toe-tapping good time.

Motor Gras Parade
Tuesday, March 4, 11 a.m
Downtown-Midtown Lake Charles

Krewe of Krewes' Parade
Tuesday, March 4, 5:00 p.m.
Downtown-Midtown Lake Charles. Hundreds of elaborate krewe floats, costumes, beads and more wind through the city in the culmination of the Fat Tuesday celebration.

The Krewe of Krewes' parade will start in the back of the Lake Charles Civic Center and head down Bord Du Lac Drive to Mill street.  Then take a right on Ryan Street and head south.  The parade will continue down Ryan Street in Lake Charles for a few miles and finish at the corner of Ryan Street and Sale Street.

Get ready to get you Mardi Gras on because it's here Southwest Louisiana!
