5-4-3-2-1 Happy New Year everyone!  It's been a great year here at Cajun Radio and we wanted to say thank you to all of  you for making Cajun Radio what it has become!

Reflecting back on this year, we have had a lot of fun with you guys and gals with great festivals, interviews and concerts.  Here is a look back on 2011.

In February, we hit the high seas with Travis Matte & The Kingpins on the Royal Carribean Voyager of the Seas" for a seven day vacation rocking the Caribbean with great Cajun and Zydeco Music!

Then we had the biggest Lundi Gras party Southwest Louisiana has ever seen with Keith Frank and the Soileau Zydeco band at Yesterdays night club.

In March, we broadcasted live from the Iowa Rabbit Festival with great entertainment from Wayne Toups, Geno Delafose, John Dale Hebert and Jamie Bergeron just to name a few!

Then we moved on to Contraband Days in Downtown Lake Charles were we hung out with TK Hulin, GG Shinn and Chubby Carrier.

July marked the CFMA festival and the Marshland Festival.  The CFMA festival celebrating traditional Cajun music on the third weekend in July while the Marshland Festival was on the last weekend in July.

The Marshland festival featured acts like Damon Troy, Keith Frank and Barry Badon and it marked the first time that Trapper Joe and Trigger Tommy from the hit reality show "Swamp People" made an appearance at the Marshland Festival.

The very next week I went to the Cameron Fishing Festival and we hung out with Geno Delafose, Travis Matte and Steel Shot.

Concerts after conecerts after that with Wayne Toups at Yesterdays to the Louisiana Throwdown featuring Damon Troy, Horace Trahan and Keith Frank in November.

And of course we can't finish recapping 2011 without talking about the Cajun, Swamp pop and Zydeco Artists that came to the studio and performed for us live.

This year we had visits from:

Horace Trahan, Keith Frank, Damon Troy, Leroy Thomas, Jo-El Sonnier, Chubby Carrier, Vince Vance, Ryan Foret, Ron Miller, and many more.

The year was capped off when we received an award from the CFMA for Continuing Contribution to Cajun Music and Culture!

Wow what a year! Thanks to all the artists for coming in but most of all, THANK YOU, our loyal listeners and fans of Cajun Music!

We have some big surprises in store for you and we plan to make 2012 even better!  Stayed tuned because you wont want to miss anything!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
