One of the coldest festivals in Louisiana is this weekend.  The Louisiana Fur and Wildlife Festival is going on in Cameron, Louisiana Friday and Saturday January 13th and 14th.

There will be food, competitions and live music both days.  Here is what is going on for the festival.

All events will take place on the fairgrounds located at the Pat's of Cameron (across the street from the Cameron Parish School Board) in Downtown Cameron unless otherwise stated. Ice chests will not be allowed on the fairgrounds.

10:00am--Dog Trials on the Henry Property in Cameron.

12:00pm—Gates open ($5.oo per person children 12 years old and under free)
Trap Shooting Begins
Carnival will open

6:00pm—STEEL SHOT takes the stage

3:00pm—Duck and Goose Calling Competition

3:00pm— BLACK SHEEP takes the stage

7:00 pm—Barry Badon & The Bayou Boys takes the stage

The Southeast Tourism Society (STS) recently honored the Louisiana Fur & Wildlife Festival as a 2012 Top 20 Event for the month of January.
