Jazz In the Arts — Holiday Black Tie Dinner Gala and Silent Auction

On December 21st, Jazz in the Arts will present in concert International Mezzo-Soprano and Jazz Vocalist, Erica Papillion-Posey of Denver Colorado. Erica is originally from the Lake Area and has traveled nationally and internationally performing operas. Although Erica performs mainly opera and spirituals, her first love of music is jazz. Erica is a phenomenal performer that wow’s her audience with her void, talent, and her outstanding performances.

In addition to Erica’s performance, Jazz in the Arts will also present the Tipitina’s Internship Band of young jazz musicians, and the Jazz in the Arts rhythm section.

All proceeds from the holiday dinner gala and silent auction will help benefit music education and scholarships for our young people. “Music is a magical gift we must nourish and cultivate in our children. The benefits to a music education are that students tend to be successful in society in school, in developing intelligence, and in life. With the creative elements offered by music education, students have an outlet in which they can express themselves."
