New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has entered the Pro Football Hall of Fame already!

I know your thinking how?  He is still playing!  Well after Brees broke Dan Marino's record for passing yards in a single season, his uniform was shipped to Cayton, Ohio sight of the Pro Football Hall Of Fame!

The Pro Football Hall of Fame released this today after Drew Brees uniform what put on display:

The uniform worn by New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees on Dec. 26, 2011 when he broke the long-standing record for passing yards in a season is now part of the Pro Football Hall of Fame’s collection.

The jersey, pants, socks and shoes worn by Brees in the Week 16 nationally televised Monday Night Football game against the division rival Atlanta Falcons arrived in Canton last Friday. The mementos were placed on exhibit this afternoon in the museum’s Pro Football Today Gallery.

Brees connected on a 9-yard touchdown pass to running back Darren Sproles with just under three minutes to play that pushed his passing yardage total for the season to 5,087 which broke the record held by Hall of Famer Dan Marino since 1984.

Marino became the first quarterback in NFL history to eclipse 5,000 yards when he had 5,084 yards passing for the Dolphins that season.

Here is the record setting pass in case you missed it!

If that wasn't impressive enough, Brees added added to the record last Sundays win over the Carolina Panthers to finish the year with 5,476 yards.

Brees also set NFL records in 2011 for completions (468), completion percentage (71.2 percent), 300-yard passing games (13) and consecutive 300-yard passing games (seven).

WOW!  Congrats Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints.

The Saints are in the playoffs now and will take on the Detroit Lions this Saturday night January 7th at 7 p.m. in the Superdome.  The game will be televised on NBC.
