We just finished a four day Thanksgiving weekend which is supposed to be about family and friends and what you are thankful for this year.  Instead I saw people all over social media posting pictures of crazy long lines in front of stores, selfies while they shop and video's of jaw dropping fights in stores over the weekend.

Like I reported on Thursday, stores opened Thanksgiving afternoon just to chase the all mighty dollar even earlier.  Like I said in a previous article, isn't Black Friday supposed to be on Friday?  Well if that wasn't enough chaos for one weekend, now we also have Cyber Monday today.

This is where online retailers offer significant savings for merchandise like TV's, game consoles and other must have items to fill Christmas lists.  Not much work will get done today as people will flock to their computers to try and take advantage of anything and everything that is on sale.

Last year it was estimated that Americans spent as much as $2.5 billion on Cyber Monday.  Wow that is just crazy.

You would think Cyber Monday is just for online retailers like Amazon and stores like that but no.  Actually stores that were open on Thursday evening and Friday are also getting in on the act. Retailers like Walmart, Target, and JC Penny's just to name a few.

So you see, you could have stayed home on Thanksgiving and enjoyed your family and friends and then today you could shop online in your PJ's and not have to wait in long lines or miss out on anything.

Either way, the whole thing is just crazy to me.  Your thoughts?
