CPSO Identifies Victim In Fatal Car Crash In Sulphur

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office has released the identity of the person who was involved in a one vehicle car crash in Sulphur this Morning.

On May 31, at approximately 10:00 p.m., the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a single car accident at the intersection of Gill Drive and Koonce Road in Sulphur.  The preliminary investigation revealed the driver of the car, David G. Parker, 58, 2576 Koonce Road, Sulphur, appeared to have run a stop sign at the intersection and hit a tree.  He was pronounced dead at the scene.

As mandated by state law in all traffic fatalities, a toxicology report will be performed on Parker.

CPSO Sr. Cpl. Joshua Couch and Cpl. Scott Patch are continuing the investigation.
