So as we learned over the weekend, the McNeese Cowboys will take on Sam Houston State who beat Southern Utah Saturday 42-39 in the second round of the FCS playoffs.

Well when it comes to playoffs, the rules are a little different because now it is a NCAA operated event.  This means there are some rules fans will have to follow.

The McNeese Cowboys fans are known for ringing the cowbells in the stadium during the game.  Well not this Saturday.

Matt Bonnette with MSU released this stating the rules that were handed down by the NCAA.

No artificial noisemakers will be allowed. This includes the prohibited use of cowbells, thunder sticks, air horns, whistles, etc. Signs will be posted around the parking areas and Cowboy Stadium to remind fans they will not be allowed.

Matt Bonnette further said:

• ALL bags will be checked when entering the game. Fans are asked to arrive early to avoid having to stand in line for a lengthy amount of time due to this. McNeese will have extra personnel at the two main entrances to help the process flow quicker.
• Video board material, such as pump up and cheer videos will not be allowed. The same goes for regular season game day video board elements including advertisements.
• No outside food or drinks.
• No umbrellas.

The McNeese Cowboys who are 10-0 this season defeated Sam Houston 27-10 already once this year in Lake Charles at Cowboys stadium.  The Cowboys and Bearkats game is this Saturday December 5th at Cowboys stadium and kick off for the game will be at 6:00 p.m.

Ticket prices are: $25 for reserved seating; $20 adult general admission; $15 senior citizen general admission; $10 general admission for youth ages 13-17; $5 general admission for youth ages 4-12. McNeese students with a valid ID should check with the Office of Student Services for tickets.
