The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office had to utilize their ACT Team to arrest two suspects in a vehicle burglary case.

The CPSO received a complaint about two suspects burglarizing vehicles outside a Moss Bluff business on June 13th which were caught on the businesses surveillance camera's.

On June 13, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies were dispatched in reference to two vehicle burglaries that had occurred in the parking lot of a Moss Bluff bar.

When deputies arrived, they obtained and reviewed video surveillance footage from the bar which captured Pamela S. Monk, 50, and Jesse D. Clem, 46, both of 2019 Sam Houston Jones Pkwy, Lot # 32, Moss Bluff, entering two different vehicles in the bar parking lot and removing several items, including an undisclosed amount of cash and a .357 Magnum revolver.

When deputies arrived at the mobile home of Monk and Clem, they discovered they were inside but refused to cooperate or exit the home.  After assessing the situation, members of the CPSO ACT-Team were utilized due to the possibility of firearms being inside the mobile home.

After making numerous requests to exit the home, Monk and Clem exited the home and were arrested without incident.

Both were booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with 2 counts of simple robbery; 2 counts of theft; and theft of a firearm.  Judge Ritchie set Monk’s bond at $74,000 and Clem’s bond at $105,000.

CPSO Detective Mike Conner is the lead investigator on this case.
