Calcasieu Sheriff’s Office To Hold The 104th Basic Law Enforcement Graduation

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's Office law enforcement training academy is getting ready this week to graduate their 104th class. The ceremony will be Today, March 28 at 10:30 a.m. in the Contraband Room on the 2^nd floor at the Lake Charles Civic Center.

The CPSO's training facility not only trains their Deputies but deputies and police officers from other cities from a five parish area.

Wow 104 classes. Some of you may know this but some may not. I was a Deputy with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff's office for 10 years and I am a proud member of the 61st basic graduating class. We graduated in June 1997.

Thirty-four (34) cadets representing Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office, Allen Parish Sheriff’s Office, Lake Charles Police Department, Jennings Police Department, Jeff Davis Sheriff’s Office, Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office, Rayne Police Department, Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s Office, Ward 3 Marshal’s Office, Merryville Police Department, Sulphur Police Department, DeRidder Police Department, Lake Charles Harbor Police Department, have participated in this graduating class.
