Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office Hosts Meeting With Local Pastors To Discuss Church Safety And Security
The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) will be hosting a meeting with local pastors to hear their needs in keeping their church congregations safe and secure. In light of the recent church shootings in South Carolina, it's a sad reality that our churches are no longer safe. According CPSO it's important that they work with local pastors to carve out a plan of action to prevent further tragedies.
Sheriff Tony Mancuso, wants to meet with area pastors today and find out what each individual church needs to make them a safer place to worship. Once that's achieved, together pastors and the CPSO will design a plan for each church to implement.
The meeting will take place today, (Monday, August 17) at 1:30 p.m. at the CPSO Training Academy, located at 3958 Mallard Cove Dr. in Lake Charles. Area media is welcome and encouraged to attend.
