Now that Christmas is over and the New Year is almost here.  Everyone is on vacation or offices are closed for the holiday's and that also includes Parish and City offices which will effect your trash pick up.

In the City Of Lake Charles, there will be a delay next week in your garbage pick up if you usually get your trash picked up on Monday's.

Matt Young with the City of Lake Charles said:

Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Monday, January 2, 2017 will be rescheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 3, 2017. Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Tuesday, January 3, 2017 will be picked up on Wednesday, January 4, 2017. Trash and garbage scheduled for pickup on Thursday and Friday will remain on regular scheduled routes.

Calcasieu Parish officials have told us that:

Both Progressive Waste Solutions and Waste Managementcustomers will see no interruption in services.

The Solid Waste Convenience Centers will be closed on Sunday, January 1st for New Year’s Day and re-open on Monday, January 2nd.

All Police Jury departments will be closed on Monday, January 2, 2017 and re-open on January 3rd in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday.
