What’s a nice girl like you doing in a place like this? I get asked that A LOT! Well, I’ll tell you…I was tricked, hoodwinked, fooled – you name it – into radio. In February of 2002, my friend, Gary, asked me to come by the studio and record a commercial. One month later, we became “Gary & Heather in the Morning” and the rest is history. In the past 11 years, I’ve done some really interesting things…I’ve met Barnum & Bailey clowns, taken a ride in the Oscar Meyer Weenie-Mobile and the Hershey’s Kiss-Mobile, interviewed John Schneider, Jared (the Subway Guy), Marie Osmond and Miss America. I’ve introduced concerts for Percy Sledge, Vince Vance & the Valiants, and the Lake Charles Symphony and judged countless bowls of gumbo, chili and jambalaya. I’ve played basketball against the Harlem Globetrotters, ridden into the Circus on the back of an elephant, released hundreds tiny ducks into the lake and gave the call to set off thousands of fireworks. I never know what the next day is going to bring, but there’s never a dull moment around here!
