Opening day is always filled with excitement and hope for a great season. The Astros could certainly make a statement in front of a huge crowd with an opening day win over the Yankees. The Yankees will be featuring the five time World Series winning short stop Derrick Jeter as he plays his last season. The Astros will make a special presentation to Jeter on Wednesday night. There will also be some special Astros stars on hand for the opener.

Nolan Ryan will throw out the ceremonial first pitch to Craig Biggio. Then the season gets started. The Astros will send Scott Feldman to the mound. Feldman was 12-12 last year with the Cubs and Orioles with a 3.86 ERA. The 31 year old free agent signed a $30 million contract with the Astros. He will face CC Sabathia for the Yankees.
