The Arts and Humanities Council of Southwest Louisiana and the City of Lake Charles are teaming up again to present a festive day of art activities and creativity on Saturday, October 29th, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Lake Charles Civic Center Exhibition Hall. ArtsFest fosters an interest in learning through engaging art projects that revolve around each year’s exciting theme.

This year, ArtsFest Goes to Work, and local businesses and organizations will host art booths that feature the careers and vocations that are vital to not only Southwest Louisiana but to also today’s national economy. Children will be able to experience the ins and outs of these careers while creating fun arts and crafts projects that they can take home. Local industries to be represented include healthcare, hospitality, agriculture, the arts, and architecture among others.
