The Arts Council of SWLA and the City of Lake Charles is set to hold their annual Arts Fest 2016 at the Lake Charles Civic Center Exhibition Hall this Saturday, October 21st, 2016.

The festival is geared to children and helps them spark their creative side. Kids get to be hands-on, from painting to make pottery.

Jody Taylor with the Arts Council gave us the run down of events:

ArtsFest 2016! will showcase the wildly popular one-on-one pottery lessons, assorted crafts, fun snacks, live music, storytelling and other entertainment scheduled throughout the four-hour event, as outlined below:

10:00:  TK’s Place band – singalong

10:20:  Lake Area Ballet Theatre – performance

10:40:  Elizabeth Daigle & Julian Q Library Dude – storytelling, singalong

11:00:  Instrument Petting Zoo

11:30:  Playground Players – interactive performance

12:05:  TK’s Place Band – singalong

12:25:  Elizabeth Daigle – storytelling

12:40:  Lake Area Ballet Theatre – performance

1:00:    TK’s Place Band – singalong

1:20:    Julian Q Library Dude – singalong

1:35:    Instrument Petting Zoo

The Arts Fest is from 10:00am to 2:00pm this Saturday. Admission is free for all, and it takes place inside the Lake Charles Civic Center's Exhibition Hall.
