Former Saints Defensive Coordinator Greg Williams was very apologetic and has been reinstated to coach in the NFL. He has accepted the position as Defensive coordinator with the Tennessee Titans. I'm sure the NFL will be watching closely. At the same time the Saints have interviewed the first person for their vacant Defensive Coordinator position. The second interview is rumored to be scheduled for today.

The front runner for the Job is former Dallas Cowboys defensive Coordinator Rob Ryan. He is rumored to have an interview set up for today. Besides having the longest hair of any coach in the league, he has run the 3-4 defensive scheme that the Saints will be switching to this season. Saint's owner Tom Benson was reportedly in Dallas last Tuesday.

University of Georgia Defensive Coordinator Todd Grantham interviewed with Saints Head Coach Sean Payton yesterday. When he was hired at Georgia it was to run a 3-4 defense. His first year at Georgia the Bulldogs ranked fifth in the nation defensively.

In an interview last week Sean Payton mentioned there may be 4 interviews or so. I'm sure the fans and players are anxious for the team to make a decision; but hiring to hastily has always been a mistake for me personally and I'm sure the Saints are being very careful after what happened with Greg Williams and
Steve Spagnuolo.
