Andy Griffith’s Death Certificate Says He Died Of Heart Attack

Andy Griffith passed away Tuesday at the age of 86 in his home in North Carolina. Griffith's death certificate has now been released with the cause of death.

The death certificate states that Andy Griffith dies of a heart attack that he suffered 24 hours before his death. According to the death certificate filed in Dare County, North Carolina and released by the associated press, Griffith died at 7 a.m. Tuesday morning.

The death certificate also disclosed some of the TV icons illnesses he has been suffering from including coronary artery disease, hypertension, and hyperlipidemia.

It also was reported that Andy Griffith was buried just hours after his death in his families cemetery in North Carolina.
