Wow it is hard to believe but the Cal-Cam fair is turning 93 this year.  For 93 years now people from Calcasieu and Cameron parish have been coming together to celebrate and it all starts today.

The Cal-Cam fair is located West Calcasieu Arena & Events Center located at 401 Arena Road in Sulphur, La.

The festival kicks off today with the gates opening at 3:00 p.m.  Then they will have a Pageant that will start at 4 p.m.  Then get ready for the carnival rides starting at 5:00 p.m.

They will also  have a Livestock show with pigs show starting at 6 p.m. Then Live entertainment starting at 7 p.m.

The fair continues through Sunday.  According to Visitlakecharles.org here is the rest of the weeks schedule:

Oct. 14 - (special citizens event at 10 a.m.) Gates open at 4 p.m., rides start at 5 p.m.  Livestock (pigs) show starts at 6 p.m. Live entertainment at 7 p.m.

Oct. 15 - Gates open at 10 a.m., rides start at noon; Livestock (beef) show starts 9 a.m., Live entertainment  at 7 p.m.

Oct. 16 - FREE gate admission, gates open at 12, rides at 1 p.m.

Go out and have a fun time.  The weather is going to be beautiful.
